Our Introductory Classes are ideal for students with very little to no previous fencing experience. Students will learn the fundamentals of fencing while understanding the values of good sportsmanship, discipline, and work ethic. Our goal is to help our students understand the basics of fencing while developing a love for the sport.
Fencers must finish this introduction before moving forward to Beginner Classes. Private Lessons should be taken in tandem with these and all following classes. Equipment is available for rent.

STRIP COACHING
Fencing coach provides input or advice during competition and match. (typically, during “one minute” break,) Please see pricing below.
International - World Cups allow fencers to not only represent AFFA but also their country. This gives fencers an opportunity to gain World points, a world ranking, national points, and a chance to qualify for the National Team.
250$ per fencer per day of competition and an extra $50 fee for days of travel and/or Team Event competition. Hotel, airfare, and ground transportation expenses will be divided by the number of events and the number of fencers who attend.
LOCAL
Tournaments, which are considered within 50 miles of AFFA, only in NJ will cost $50 per fencer for the first event per day an extra $10 for an additional event the same day. (RYC, RJCC, ROC, SYC in NJ)

Tournaments, which are regional tournaments that give national points and are required for qualification to Summer Nationals will cost $100 per fencer per event if outside of NJ. (RYC, RJCC, ROC, SYC outside of NJ)

NORTH AMERICAN CUPS (NAC)

National tournaments provide athletes with the most exposure to the highest level of competition and allows them to obtain national points and ranking will cost $180 per fencer per event.

Open Bouting is included with membership, the price listed is for non-members.
